A squadron of four Gripen fighter jets will demonstrate and perform a fly-past at the 36th Formula 1 Rolex Hungarian Grand Prix over the Hungaroring on 1 August, shortly before the race starts at 3pm. Stronger sound effect is expected.
The Gripen aircraft belong to the MH 59th Szentgyörgyi Dezső Air Base and the pilots are members of the Puma Squadron.
Technical sports enthusiasts will be able to see the fighters taking part in the air show at the Hungarian race at the International Aviation Day and Military Technology Show, which will be held on 28 and 29 August at the Kecskemét airbase. The Hungarian Defence Forces will be displaying their entire arsenal at the event including not only airborne but also ground-based equipment from Leopard tanks to Lynx armoured personnel carriers.
