Public transport to the Hungarian GP

As in the previous years, the Hungaroring encourages everyone to use public transport during the Hungarian GP weekend – firstly, it is an environmentally friendly solution and secondly, due to the sold-out Formula 1 race, it may help to avoid heavy traffic.

Hungaroring Sport Zrt. has reached an agreement with the companies concerned to facilitate access to the circuit again this year, and recommends the following option:

From Örs vezér tér to Kerepes by HÉV/local train (which, according to the agreement, will run with more carriages and more often than the usual timetable), and from there by free fans’ buses of Volánbusz to Hungaroring Gate 3. Departure times of the buses will, of course, be adjusted to the HÉV timetable in both directions.

The Budapest season tickets (monthly, weekly, daily, etc.) are valid until the border of Budapest, namely Ilonatelep, from there you have to buy a complementary ticket until Kerepes. Fans are advised to buy their tickets in advance to avoid the crowd at Örs vezér tér and to ensure smooth traffic.
