Frequently Asked Questions

Tickets

Will tickets be available for purchase at the venue?

If the event does not sell out during the online pre-sale period, tickets will also be available for purchase at the venue, subject to availability. No additional tickets will be released beyond the remaining inventory. We recommend checking ticket availability at www.gpticketshop.hu before travelling to the circuit.

Can someone else use my weekend ticket if I cannot attend on one of the days?

Yes. Tickets are transferable, so with a weekend ticket, different people may attend on different days.

Does my young child need a ticket if they will sit on my lap?

Yes. Every visitor must have a valid ticket to enter the venue. Children aged 0–14 require a Junior Ticket. Eligibility is determined by the child's age on the day of the event. Children who have not yet reached their 14th birthday on the event date qualify for a Junior Ticket. A ticket is required even if the child sits on a parent's lap. If a grandstand is sold out, we are unfortunately unable to issue additional tickets for lap-seated children.

Is a lanyard included with my ticket?

No. Lanyards are not included with tickets but can be purchased in the fan zones.

Do I need to print my ticket, or can I present it on my phone?

You may present your ticket on your mobile phone; printing is not required. For faster and smoother entry, we recommend downloading the ticket to your device and having it ready before reaching the entrance.

Can I cancel my ticket or request a refund?

In accordance with Section 29(1)(l) of Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to tickets purchased for events taking place on a specific date. Therefore, except in the event of cancellation of the event, tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded after purchase.

Who should I contact if there is a problem with my ticket?

If you experience any issue with your ticket or entry to the venue, such as your seat allocation, seat numbering, or ticket validity, please report it at one of the ticket offices while you are still at the circuit. This allows our staff to resolve the issue immediately. Unfortunately, we are unable to address such issues after the event.

Getting to the Hungaroring

How can I get to the Hungaroring?

Information about transport options is available in the Getting Here section of our website and is updated regularly. To help reduce congestion on surrounding roads and minimise delays caused by increased traffic, we strongly recommend using public transport or carpooling whenever possible.

Parking

Parking information and conditions can also be found in the Getting Here section of our website. A number of free, unguarded parking areas are available for visitors, subject to capacity. Please note that, from 2026, the parking area located inside Gate 2 (see the parking map) will become a paid car park, where parking will be available for a daily fee payable on site. Traffic around the circuit, including access to the parking areas, is managed by the police. Please follow all instructions given by police officers and traffic marshals.

Is there bicycle parking at the Hungaroring?

Yes. Visitors arriving by bicycle or scooter can use the bicycle racks located in the parking areas next to Gates 7 and 2B. Please note that these bicycle parking areas are not supervised, so we recommend bringing a suitable lock to secure your bicycle or scooter.

Which gate should I use to enter the circuit?

Your electronic ticket indicates the recommended entrance gate(s), usually the one closest to your grandstand, helping to reduce waiting times. Please note an important change for 2026: Gate 8 is reserved exclusively for grandstand ticket holders. Visitors with General Admission tickets should use Gate 7 or any of the other designated entrance gates.

I am a wheelchair user or have reduced mobility. Which gate should I use?

Visitors who use a wheelchair or have reduced mobility are advised to enter through Gate 8. Gate 8 offers: a. a priority entrance lane for quicker access, b. an accessible route leading to the grandstands, c. assistance from our staff and volunteers, if required.

At the Venue

Where can I find the Visitor Regulations?

The Terms and Condition document is available in the dedicated section of our website. We recommend reading them carefully before attending the event.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Only small, foldable umbrellas are permitted inside the Hungaroring. However, umbrellas may not be used in the grandstands, as they can obstruct the view of other spectators. We recommend bringing a rain poncho in wet weather or a hat or cap for sun protection.

Can I bring a parasol or a cool box?

No. Parasols and cool boxes are not permitted inside the Hungaroring, as stated in the Terms and Conditions.

Can I bring a flag?

Yes. Flags are permitted, provided they are mounted on plastic flagpoles only. If a flag is used in a way that endangers the safety of others or disrupts the event, it may be confiscated.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes. Cameras are permitted for personal use only. The camera and any accessories must fit within the maximum permitted 20-litre bag size.

What payment methods are accepted?

At merchandise stores and paid attractions, you can pay by bank card or cash, in either Hungarian Forints (HUF) or Euros (EUR). At food and beverage outlets, however, only bank cards and Festipay prepaid cards are accepted.

What is a Festipay prepaid card?

The Festipay card provides a fast and convenient cashless payment method. During the Hungarian Grand Prix, cards can be obtained and topped up at three Festipay service points located around the circuit. Any unused balance can be refunded at any Festipay point during opening hours throughout the event.

Can I bring a camping chair or folding chair?

No. Camping chairs, fishing chairs and any other portable seating are not permitted inside the Hungaroring, as specified in the Terms and Conditions.

Can I bring a stroller? What should I keep in mind when attending with children?

Yes. Strollers are permitted. If you are attending with children, we recommend: placing an identification wristband on your child's wrist with a parent's or guardian's phone number, and using hearing protection, as the noise levels during the event can be very high.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

As stated in the Terms and Conditions, each visitor may bring: up to 1 litre of beverages, and up to three sandwiches or an equivalent amount of food. Free drinking water is available throughout the Hungaroring. Visitors with food allergies or dietary requirements can purchase allergen-free food and beverages at the expanded Free-From Food Corner, marked on the event map, as well as at several other catering outlets around the circuit.

Can I bring medication or medical equipment?

Yes. Medication and medical aids, including crutches, mobility scooters, walking aids and injectable medication such as insulin are permitted. To help speed up the security screening process, we recommend bringing any relevant medical documentation and presenting medications carried in your bag to the security staff during the bag check.

Where can I leave my suitcase if I am coming directly from the airport?

Please keep in mind that there is no luggage storage facility at the Hungaroring. If you are travelling with luggage that exceeds the permitted bag size, please arrange alternative storage before arriving at the circuit.

What is that Thursday Fanzone programme?

New for 2026, the Hungaroring is introducing a Thursday Fan Festival for Formula 1 enthusiasts. The stage is located near Turn 12.

Can I enter the track after the race to watch the podium ceremony?
