Super Racing Festival

Norbi Kiss wins three out of four races

Norbert Kiss won three out of four races at the Super Racing Festival at the Hungaroring, which was free for the spectators, and where Norbert Michelisz's fourth place was the best Hungarian result in the World Touring Car Championship. Over the two days 35,000 spectators visited the event.

The three victories claimed by Norbert Kiss meant also the overwhelming success of Révész Racing at the Hungaroring, and in this particular case it is not just a nice saying that motor sport is a team sport. The team of the three-time European champion truck racer did not sleep at all on Saturday night to recover the MAN that was wrecked in the first day's reverse grid "wreck derby". (After the start, several cars collided, and after some more spectacular collision, Kiss was pushed onto the tyre wall, and he almost overturned.)

It worked, so much so that Norbert Kiss won first the qualifying and then both races. He won the first race with a smooth start-finish and in the second, starting from eighth position, he fought his way through the field and went on to claim a sensational victory.

In the overall, Norbert Kiss increased his lead over Sascha Lenz to 18 points.

In the World Touring Car Championship, Norbert Michelisz scored important points: he finished 12th in the first race and fourth in the reverse grid second one. This made him the most successful Hungarian driver in the series during the weekend.

Unfortunately, neither Dániel Nagy nor Attila Tassi had the weekend they had planned. Nagy was unlucky both times: in the first race he was pushed by Coronel, and the collision damaged his car and slowed it down, while Tassi simply didn't have the top speed. However, Zengő Motorsport could have something to happy for, because its British driver Rob Huff was able to take second place in the second race, which was celebrated with a huge ovation by the Hungarian crowd, who love the sympathetic Hungarian team.
