There are 100 days to go to the 36th Formula 1 Magyar Nagydíj, and having organised last year’s race behind closed doors, the management of the Hungaroring is planning to open the doors for the fans in 2021.
More specifically: Hungaroring will stage Round 11 of the Formula 1 World Championship to be held on 30 July – 1 August with fans, subject to the appropriate pandemic precautionary measures, similarly to UEFA Euro 2020.
“Tickets are on sale, and we trust that pandemic situation will be vastly improved by August so that we can welcome fans, similarly to the Euro 2020” Zsolt Gyulay, CEO of Hungaroring Sport Zrt. said. He is fortunate in that the largest sport complex of the country covers of 130 ha of ground among the hills of Mogyoród, where the fans enjoy motorsport experiences outdoors. “We have been liaising with the appropriate authorities, and we will organize the Formula 1 Magyar Nagydíj in accordance of the applicable rules and regulations. In the meantime, we encourage all to register and be vaccinated, not to miss out this year’s F1 festival at the Hungaroring. It’s worth knowing that 70-80% of the spectators coming to the Hungaroring are from abroad, and the travel regulations in force at the time of the race may apply to them. Although we are very optimistic that this will not be a problem by August, should restrictions be in place, we will offer a full refund to the ticket holders, as we did last year."
