Lando Norris has proved unbeatable at the Hungaroring for the past two years, but how will Hungary’s Formula 1 story, now spanning more than four decades, continue? The answer will be revealed at the 42nd Formula 1 Hungarian GP!
It is almost hard to believe that the Hungaroring has been a continuous part of the F1 calendar for 41 years. Its iconic layout is steeped in tradition, bringing to life memories of one of the sport’s golden eras. Only the very best have managed to triumph among the rolling hills of Mogyoród.
In recent years, the Hungaroring has undergone the biggest transformation in its history, with the main building, main grandstand and event area all renewed. The latter, together with the wide range of entertainment and fan activities, helped the Formula 1 Hungarian GP win the 2025 F1 Promoter Award for Best Fan Experience. And the Hungaroring team continues to work tirelessly to ensure that not only the racing, but also the experience and service provided to fans, remain at the highest possible level.
Six drivers – Damon Hill, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Heikki Kovalainen, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri – can all say that they claimed their maiden Grand Prix victory here. The undisputed record-holder, however, is Lewis Hamilton, who has stood on the top step of the podium at the Hungaroring eight times.
And as for the next chapter of this story? Well, we will have to wait until 1 August 2027 to find out.
