The Hungaroring is one of the oldest Formula 1 circuits in Europe. Built almost three and a half decades ago, it was a curiosity then because it was the first track behind the Iron Curtain, and today it is the second track (ahead of only Monza) to be on the F1 calendar. The circuit is located just 19 km from the centre of Budapest, along the M3 motorway.
